Will Chad OchoCinco wear #15

Chris Henry who had the best avg. receiving yards per catch 19.7 this season has passed away. Out of respect Chad Ochocinco has been wearing his jersey all week in practice preparing to suit up with it in the game this Sunday verse San Diego. He knew that he would be fined and the NFLPA would cover the expense. However according to recent information the NFLPA is not able to pay Ocho Cinco for his fines due to NFL rules.

The question is will Chad Ochocinco wear #15 instead of his #85?  I think Chad is usually a man who stays to his word. Unless his coach tells him not wear it we should expect to see him in #15 this Sunday verse San Diego.

Albany Clinches A Victory in the Final 25 Seconds vs. Army

       (UAlbany Sports)

 UAlbany 53 Army 49 12/19/09

The University At Albany Women's Basketball team is having much more success this year then last, especially with this victory over army. This game however was not clearly won by the great danes, the lead was traded back and forth multiple times till the very end when Charity was able to just about seal the deal. She was the key player in this game hitting two clutch freethrows from the strike-plate clinching a 3 point lead with less than 25 seconds in the game. Army had a chance to tie it and force overtime but were not able to connect on two 3pt attempts. They have now beaten 4 teams that they previously lost to last season and are on thier way to becoming the best team in the America East Conference. Head Coach Trina Patterson expresses her feelings toward the team this year and explains "We have a whole different team with so many newcomers, and a whole different thought process. These girls are about team first and individuals second. We played with a lot of effort and heart." The Womens Basketball is by far one of the quickest turnaround teams this university has ever seen after last season losing all 9 games when they were within 5 points. They are now 2-1 with games within 5 points. And there Current Record is 5-4.

Womens Lacrosse has scheduling success

                                     Jodi Battaglia                     (UAlbany Athletics)

The womens Lacrosse team is going to have a great season this year with Kayla Best and Jodi Bataglia back on the team. Last year was their first successful season in almost a decade and with 17 letter winners coming back on the squad they should do even better and win the America East. The talent on this team is very apparent and it helps that their schedule does not seem to intense besides playing Denver and Cal. This team has the talent and skill to overcome every team in their path this season. Overall they have a very balanced team there are no true weaknesses at any position there are veterans back in about everyone except goal. Over the next month we will see team rankings coming out and we will get you the scoop of how Albany matches up.

Albany Mens Lacrosse Ranked #20 in the Nation

                                                                          Brian Caufield                  (James Schaffer)

UAlbany Mens Lax is looking to face an incredibly tough schedule they will be opening the season against Denver at Denver this will be a huge challenge to this Albany team which has struggled greatly over the past few years being ranked in the top 20 and quickly falling out. This year they are preseason ranked 20th in the nation and Denver is 17th. This year they will not being starting off lightly going against Denver. But with
The attackmen which are also ranked as the 7th best attack unit in the country by Inside Lacrosse they should be able to have an upper hand on most teams. We are going to be looking for Brian Caufield and Joe Resetarits to have break out seasons and bring their team success. Even though the season starts very hard it gets tougher from there because they are going to face off against top ranked opponents such as Syracuse and Johns Hopkins. Teamwork is what will bring them a successful season.

In the America East Conference Preseason Coaches Poll the Men are Ranked 3rd behind  2nd Stonybrook and 1st UMBC.
